Can anyone tell me if this is a part from a Rail Console mount or something else...seems like I saw something like this for a marching drum. The ends don't come off, so how would you get the other parts to go on?

The part is a very common M.I.J. 1960's rail tom mount used on bass drums..you would fine these on Pearl made drums again 40-50 names of them...Mikey
