tom mount wing screw

On my clubdate tom tom mount,I can not tighten the wing screw enough by hand.I have to use some pliers on it to get it tight. Can I swap out the eye screw with and eye bolt and hex nut?? If so anybody have one that want to sell? Thanks MM

I have the same problem with the cymbal mount,I need to beef that wing screw set up as well!!!!!

YEs you can. On Ludwig mounted toms should have the nut not a wing screw..Ludwig only used wing screws on the floor tom leg mounts and "L" arm cymbal mounts..You can always change out these to nut..I have all the parts that you need to do this..P/M me if you like..Thanks Mikey
