Anyone own one of these old 4x14 downbeat snares? I may pick one up. I'm wondering if it's easy to attain a funky pop sound from one of these.

the best for that back beat heres mine before restoration
April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I've got one in original WMP wrap. It's tough for me to get that "funky pop sound" out of any of my snares. However, I can assure you that it's the drummer, not the drum!
