the sticks Purdie Shuffle gave me.....

Hey Robyn.I have been playing Nylon tips for, well, let's just say a LONG time....I really like them because of the consistency- they are always bright on the ride and the Nylon tips never get mushy or out of round on you.It DOES change the sound of the ride for sure, so you may not like it for this reason, but I have always liked the consistency over time.Have fun out there!

Hi J!m, i actually have a cup'l pairs of sticks that are nylon tipped and like them very well, as matter of fact i perfer nylon, but also really liked the hornets john gave me. i liked the way they felt in my hands, easy to hold on to and ballanced very well. if they make the hornets with nylon tips i would definently pay the price for them and order two pairs but so far all i can find is wood tip. thank you for your tip and you are right...there is a different sound between wood and nylon especially on the ride.

Hey Robyn,The Hornet sticks that PurdieShuffle gave you are going for 17 bucks at the Muso's Friend link... The original pair that Purdie gave you, you can drill through the grip and then hang on your drum room wall as a memento.. Cheershttp://www.musiciansfriend.com/drums-percussion/hornets-drumsticks

Hey longjohn, thanks for the info. your idea with the sticks has crossed my mind, but aint got the heart to take a drill to them, i feel like i'd be defacing them, lol. i do have an idea tho...i'm gonna hang them on the wall above the memento of my day that was given to me. i want to hang them crossed like a x. i think that would be really cool. i now wish i would of had purdie signed them b4 he sent them to me. DOH

The crossed sticks would look great above the barn door. Sure beats the old, cliche' horse shoe.

Hi Robyn, don't know if you've ever seen these sticks but I thought you might like 'em. Don't know 'bout U.S. but Canadian prices are pretty reasonable. Take care now, and stay wiggly! Oh yeah, they come with nylon tips too. Tried to put a link for you but it wouldnt let me. The sticks are called Headhunters if you google them you'll find 'em.

Not actually bolted to the wall....

lol longjohn, i knew what ya meant with your idea, but still.....i just don't think i can do it.

and theres nothing wrong with being a lit'l wiggly from time to time. helps keep us young and able to have fun. i think if we all had a lit'l wiggle in us at times this world would be a lot nicer place to live in. So....Can you point your fingers and do the twist? THE WIGGLES ROCK!!!
