The new Gretsch Broadcasters!

What are you guy's feeling about the Broadcasters that Gretsch have brought out? Apparently they have gone back to the old 3 ply shell design.

I briefly tapped around on one at Steve Maxwells for 1 min, and it seemed lovely. It was a Be-Bop config tuned super high so i didn't get the full benefit of it.

Any of you taken one for a serious test drive yet?

I've listened to every video I can find on the net of these drums and they sound like my Slingerlands! Three ply; rounded bearing edges; flanged hoops.
