I sent an email to "The Admins" about a deleted post. No answer. Evidently I don't warrant an answer. Who are you people please?
The Admins of this site
I don't know why your post was deleted, but if it had a link to ebay or CL or some other link that will eventually go dead, the Admins will delete it if they find it. They are trying to keep this site as a reference resource, and a bunch of dead links render many threads useless. I had this done to me, but Tommyp was kind enough to explain it to me.
Stephen
The post was from a member (whom I don't know personally) who was quitting the site. I asked "The Admins" why the post was deleted and received no response. I'd like to know who deleted it and why.
Why don't you PM Tommyp and ask him about it? My guess is it's relevance. Many people wouldn't announce their departure, they would just disappear.
Who left, and did they give a reason?
Stephen
troutstudio!
Truthfully, I/we never received any email.. ( that I know of anyway ) .. so it would be kinda hard to respond, as you can well imagine. That said though, the answer to your question may be found below...

THANK YOU!... as you are correct. It was a relevance decision. We do "try" to keep the focus on vintage drums here, and hopefully do a pretty good job of it too. We have many members on the VDF and appreciate you all! However, should a member feel the need to take a leave of absence... leave the forum forever as they are disgruntled for some reason... stop reading/writing and/or participating... etc., then just leave. There is no need to announce it, and most especially if said annoucement is just going to fan the flames of emotions and turn into a 5 page.. ( or more! ) .. diatribe. ( it has happened in the past, and numerous times too! ) There are exceptions to this of course, and those have been allowed to remain from time to time at the editorial discretion of the Admin/Mod. We TRY to keep the focus and discussions here on Vintage Drums. THANKS again Stephen, as you get it!
Tommyp
