Thanks to radioking (Rich) for answering my wanted post and selling me his nice Gretsch 3ply 1950 virgin bass drum.

Nice~! I remember this one now.... when you were looking to remove the gold leaf off the drum. Very cool and man they sure came out nice too! And kudo's to Rich~! Great to see members helping each other out.
