Yep, there are a lot of guys on this forum who are generous beyond belief! I have had items shipped to me for free for no other reason other than they knew I needed or wanted the pieces or, in one case, a very expensive vintage snare drum!!!. Most of these great guys wish to remain anonymous as well. There are wonderful people out there who deserve a HUGE thanks!

Have done the same and in return have had a few. Also have had a couple that I believed I was helping to restore a drum for keeps, only to find out it was being sold when finished. Had I known before hand...not so sure!

Hi, Nevin,

Yep, I'm sure you are right. It's a shame when people repay generosity with greed. At least you tried to help a fellow restorer. You should be proud. The dirt bags who sold your gifts should be ashamed!!!

Brian,

Indeed...and the vintage drum collecting community is a small one. Know who they are and will be a different story the next time. Live and learn. I can say that a majority of the members are outstanding, and will never be included in that category in my eyes.

Hey, Christian, thanks!

But it really was a small thing. I help you, you help me - that's what this forum is about, right?

Take care!
