Tama Artstar Cordia Snares

Loading...

Hi there,

I recently aquired a 24" Artstar Cordia Bass drum and i LOVE it! Quite rude sounding and plenty of volume.

Wondering if anyone here has played the cordia snare drums?

They seem kind of pricey and i dunno if that's just 'cos of the collector factor or if they are really great drums too.

I have had issues in the past with the Lugs on Tama snare drums breaking on me. And i'm not the only one i know who has.

But i've also found Tama stuff to be good at delivering the volume in general which i like!

Don't have much experience with wood shell snares except my premier 5.5 Hi Fi which is great but not for loud stuff.

thanks.

I played one at a music store when thy first came out in the 1980s. One of the BEST sounding snares I ever played on but the price was an issue. They were a very expensive drum back then

Would you say they are at the louder end of the spectrum? My Artstar Cordia Bass drum has plenty of volume!

Oh ya. 24's got attitude and they like to be heard. I don't think volume should be a problem, with the right tuning you will rumble walls and knock people over while filling the room with thunder.

Thanks snooter!

I'm enquiring bout the snare drums though...?

I can already confirm the 24" kick does that and i haven;t even tried with a front head yet! Loving the rudeness of the single head at the moment.

Engineers keep being baffled at how much tone it has.
