Suspicious pm

Anyone here been contacted by a member called ambrose pottie about Ludwig Gullwing Spurs. I guessing they mean the slide out ones. I just received a pm from this person wanting to sell me Ludwig spurs. It sounds suspicious to me so I thought I'd better post it just in case It's a scam. Here's what they said.

Hi Drumguy 1988, I'm new on this site although I've been active and buying selling things on DFO forum. I don't use Ebay but if you're interested in an interac bank transfer for the Ludwig spurs, I'm in Toronto and that's how I usually buy/sell things when they're in Canada.

cheers,

Ambrose

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I just checked over at DFO for this member and he does exist. Possibly not a scam after all? Still, I'd proceed with caution.

The gent in question appears to have high profile on the net.. Why not contact him via his webpage for confirmation... I know I have done bank transfers for US purchases.. Depending on the banks involved, can often save a few bucks..

Cheers

John

I had no plans to deal with this person. I'm not even looking for those parts and no where on this forum have I posted that I am so I don't know why he contacted me. I search his user name here on the forum and It couldn't find him.

I thought I better bring this to everyone's attention in case this is a scam so no one gets hosed.

I don't need the parts and I wouldn't deal with this person anyway.

Don't worry. I'm not as stupid as he thinks I might be.
