Sound File Jenkins-Martin snare drum

Loading...

This is a 7X13 snare that we sent to Reykjavik Iceland to my buddy Halldor.

He is heading up the Reykjavik Drum show which is coming up on the 12th. We also sent a full kit in the Blaemire green.

He recorded this snare at multiple turnings and does a great job of playing it.

The picture was taken on the Iceland tundra!

Excellent demo! Shows the range of the drum. I got to play Mick's 6.5" and it was so responsive for a deep snare. I get the same level of sensitivity and response from my J/M 5.5". Great snares. Versatile tuning range.

You make good drums!

BTW, that cat Halidor is a rock solid drummer! I enjoyed listening to the demo as much for his playing as it was for the great sounds of that snare drum.

Too many great drums to list here!

From mchair303

and what a great catalog picture there!

Someone needs to take a picture of a Blaemire green snare on the rolling hills of Ireland next.

Maybe you could even launch one of the black shell drums on a weather balloon and photograph it on the edge of space. Now that would be a great catalog pic.

That's a fantastic sounding snare! I would never have imagined a fiberglass drum could sound as warm as that does at the low tuning. Did he keep the res side tuned consistent at each level, or did he up tune both heads?

Great drumming too, btwCool1
