Yes agreed with the pics not showing the true beauty of the drums. I think my kit is actualy a combo because of no floor tom. Mine have origional sbp wraps and they are gourgous! If I ever saw a floor tom and it was beat up, could I find the sky blue wrap?

Oldschool, Motar - Thanks for posting shots of those great kits! Oldschool, rare sizes for clubbies, gorgeous kit. Big enough to handle rock gigs and when tuned high, perfect for jazz gigs. Versatile sizes in your kit.
JC - You can get the wrap (Precision Drums or Jammin' Sam) but it might be hard to match the amount of fade your drums acquired over time.

The Sky Blue Pearl wrap that's available today has a slightly different "texture" to it. The only way I can describe it is that the vintage Ludwig SBP looked "rougher" or more textured, whereas the modern SBP looks "smoother." So it's not a perfect match.

1965/66 Ludwig Club Dates rewrapped in Black Diamond Pearl (12/15/20)
Probably better off looking for an old 16 on fleabay. They do come up fairly regularly in SBP.

Yes I agree, waiting for an origional wrap ft. I just bought some origional bass hoops with blue sky pearl inlay and it was a perfect match. I am in no hurry to sell this kit, waiting for the economy to wake up! I have had way too much time to work on drums which is good but I should be building more cabinets. Lately my cabinet shop looks more like a drum shop.
Thank you!
