So why can't I sell these? Last viewed: 4 hours ago

I've listed them here and at reverb.com and still no bids. I understand that solid black has to be the worst Vistalite color since it's opaque but c'mon they're cheap right? Item # 331364418897 on eBay:

I feel your pain. At the price you have them listed and the sizes you have, I would think they'd sell fairly quick.

For me, very little is moving very fast. I had a 1980 Ludwig set (it was a rewrap, but very nice drums -- pictures here: http://vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=42694) that took several months to move.

Reaction time to the deal. It has to push that button we all have and have experienced. As a recent buyer of a vintage kit, I realized most of us don't need more gear, its a "I need to own it" because the bell just rang in my head...Problem is, it doesn,t stop.

When you add in the cost of new heads and the cost of shipping it's close to $900 or so. There's other vintage stuff that I'd rather put that money towards. :)

Like a bicentennial red white & blue Vistalite. If anyone has a lead on some shoot me a PM :)

Yeah, shipping is what kills it for me (not that I'm in the market right now). Not only the cost of shipping, but vistalites are fragile as all hell. If it was nearby I'd seriously consider it. No luck on craigslist?

It could very well be the missing tension rods and hoops..

It says the kit was used/ played and probably transported without bottom heads and hoops.

For me personally, that's a deal breaker because of the damage they (The reso bearing edges) sustain.

So, for me it has nothing to do with the price or the color..

You asked..

No, I have all t-rods and hoops that were both refinished - in fact I'll post a new pic with it all assembled. These drums always had bottom heads since the bearing edges are all in great shape.

Thanks all for the advice - it is indeed currently a slow moving market.

Ha, you are right but either I'm not man enough or I'm not in a rush and it's obviously the former.

Those are nice~! I like the 24 bass and 18 floor. Good price on them too. You can always offer to meet buyers so many miles......this sometimes pushes someone to buy. With winter round the corner (cold~!) and the Holiday season and shipping rush some are reluctant to buy. Best of luck and hope you find a dancing partner. If I had the doe-re-mi we'd be a talkin. x-mas3
