So I bought a Round Badge kit today...

Thanks! I never thought of extending the tongue! I checked out Jim Petty's parts - awesome service he provides, but I have a friend who is a wiz with metal/welding, so I may just take the existing tongue to him and have him make a replica with a longer rod. He'd probably do it with scraps and charge me much less than $40.

The extended tongue pieces are set up different than the original Rail Mount piece. You might want to look at that before you have your friend build you one. The tongue sits on the end of the rod at a different angle. The photo with two: the extended one on top and original (short tongue) on bottom.

Very nice. Sizes - 20-12-14? Where did you find them?

20-12-16 - I was hoping for a 14", but the 16" sounds great too, plus I already have a couple of 16x16's, so I already have a road case that fits :)

Oh, and I found them in the Canadian prairies... not a lot of roundbadge kits to be had around these parts!

You should check out Percision's Blue Glass Glitter for the inlay. In your pictures the wrap definitely looks like a glass glitter. Still probably wont match perfectly but I'd be willing to bet it will be pretty close.

Yes! That is exactly what I need. PM me and let me know what you want for the washer or the complete spur.
