Slingerland with two tom mounts.

Hi, Have been offered a 70's 3 piece Slingerland kit. No problems that I am aware of but I am intrigued by the two tom mounts on the bass drum.

Any thoughts gratefully received...........

I have the exact same kit only in maroon sparkle. Really neat kit. I love it.
