Slingerland Set-O-Matic question Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Ok, this is going to be a little off the beaten path, but does anyone know the diameter of the ball on the end of the post of Slingerland's set-o-matic tom mounts? Doesn't matter single, double, or super set-o-matic....the ball size should be standard amongst all types.....need to know to make a frankenstein mount to make a 90'ss HHS mount work with a set-o-matic tom bracket.......

Anyone?

Is this what you speak of? This is actually off a Star Tom mount.

Rockiezz, Wrong mount. The one that L-D was asking about is a Slingerland, these mounts have a white/gray color looking plastic ball at the end of the tube...Mikey

Ah good news! The Slingerland post with its ball end will work perfectly for what I need. I will be combining the Slingerland ball/post with a late model Yamaha tom mount post. The ball end at the hex-rod of the Yamaha is also 1 3/4"! YES! Fit the Slingerland ball into the Yamaha holder (might have to cut the tube length of the Slingy down a bit) and voila! Instant cross generational Slingerland tom holder! And without re-drilling either drum for a new mount!

I love it when a plan comes together......

Now to procure the Slingerland ball/post.......anyone have one?? A short one would be best, no need to cut it down then. I don't even need the Swiv-o-matic tom holder part, just the ball/post with maybe the memory clamp.

Anyone?
