Slingerland Rose Marine Pearl Bass Drum

Loading...

Hi all. I'm new to the forum -- someone I reached out to about this bass drum suggested that I post here. My dad has a 28 inch Slingerland Rose Marine Pearl bass drum that he will be selling soon. He's typically done all his sales/trades in person, but I told him I would go online to see what kind of interest there is and just post some pics for people to see it, since this is such a rare one. I have a few more pictures, too.

Feel free to message me with any questions/comments. He hasn't decided on a price yet, and I'd also love to get any general thoughts on its value, as well.

Thanks!

I thought it looked familiar I bought a Wfl Gold sparkle kit from your dad a few years ago. He showed this bass drum to me, I hope he is well. I loved your families house/ animals and performance Bldg.

What a beauty!. It's probably the rarest Slingy finish of the late 20's or early 30's.

Golly. That's a nice one. Have the matching snare or toms?

Just beautiful. I've got a 40s RK 26 and it's the most fun kick I've ever played, wobbly spurs and all. That's probably a step up again. Boom.

It's a shame there wasn't a complete kit waiting in the closet with just the kick being still gorgeous. A buddy of mine recently was summoned by his Aunt to claim a Ludwig circa 30's ENTIRE trap kit in her fathers attic. A beautiful pearl set including chinese tom, wood blocks, cymbals to boot. I advised him to hold onto it for another 30 years.
