Hi all, new to this forum,hope I'm posting in the right place. I have a question maybe someone can help me with.Any idea what this set is worth? I have the exact set/stands as shown in the 1978 slingerland catalog "rjb" outfit no.70N in the blakchrome finish in excellent condition. I am the original owner, and bought them brand new in 1978. I don't have any pictures because they are all in their cases, and not set-up. Any replys appreciated, thanks bob.

Hi Bob and Welcome to the forum! The only reliable way to give an estimate of your drums value is to see detailed pictures. It's like asking the value of a car without seeing pictures!
Now, that aside, I can probably hazard a guess. If the kit is in truly excellent condition, you might expect around $1000 or more for the kit. Just depends on if someone is looking for a kit this large!
The vintage market, in general, seems to be down right now. Slingerland drums are really taking a hit and I've noticed the values are down for Ludwig and Rogers as well. The kits that bring the most are those in great condition and rare finishes. Please don't go by asking prices, but for the amount any particular kit has sold for.
I'm sure we'd all love to see some pictures of your RJB kit!
