Slingerland Parade Drum Legion Heir? Last viewed: 20 hours ago

Hello, I picked this parade drum up today, and was curious as to the identity. It is a Slingerland with cloud badge. It has the eagle decal on it that was an option in the 1936 catalog (not sure if this one is a '36). Is it possibly a Legion Heir? It appears to have never been tampered with. Has the original Supertone and Sensitone heads. I would rather not disassemble it unless really necessary for absolute ID. Any help you can give, would certainly be appreciated.

I think you called it right. Your drum looks just like this Legion Heir from the 1940 catalog.

That "great information" came from one of the many catalog scans on the Vintage Drum Guide site. It's a great resource to browse through if you want to find info on a drum, or if you're just interested in old drums.
