....looking up Slingerland Junior.....

It looks like the lower two screws are on the center line of the wood drum. as far as the metal drum....there must be an alternative throwoff that fits around the center bead.

The wood drum has a shur-grip throw (4-point)

The other two have the Junior throw (2-point)

I'm thinking that the hole spacing is the same for the upper two holes for the shur-grip and the only two holes for the Junior.

The Junior throw was also used on the Universal and other drums for a short time.

I think my shell is a Universal that used the Junior throw.... It only has two mounting holes and has tube lugs, which the Junior Snare didn't.

Would that make sense to you, man?

Kev. so it doesn't tell which metal, just all metal shell where is this scan from does it show the butt end?. and still the tub lugs and the t-rods?? but the shell and the rims look right!

No dadgum butt end anywhere I have looked so far......

The Cook book shows the tube lugs.... they look the same as Ludwig as far as you can tell by the pics, which isn't very far.

We did notice a difference in the lugs from your Luddy you brought over.... they had the beveled ends....... other than that they could be the same.

I wish I had a Slingy with tube lugs to compare it to.

And the t-rods are definitely Ludwig, I think we decided.... don't know what to say about that other than maybe they used the same ones in 1934...... cup washers too........

The '33 catalog says all metal, it was still a 3-bead then..... the '36 catalog says brass shell (which we know mine isn't) and has changed to single bead.

Cook book on 182 says these changes occurred in '34....
