Not early 70's.  Is that serial number 505xxx?  If so, it's early 80's.  The tom mount is post 70's also.

I agree on the date and the Pearl type mount.  They are 5 ply and the finish on the inside doesn't look factory.

Serial may be 573xxx which would be mid 80's.  Picture of bearing edge is not good so I wouldn't rule out a 3-ply shell.  The "Spirit" line used a combination of 3 and 5 ply ringless shells.  Maybe the OP will check back in?
