single tube-style lugs? - what drum? Last viewed: 1 day ago

Hi -- I have what looks to be a set of lugs, - looks like parts of tube lugs, and a strainer/butt plate (maybe two?) ...this looks like to be 20's style hardware - I wonder if anyone knows what kind of drum this might belong to? Many thanks!!

To me your parts look like Ludwig,Gretsch and Slingerland..The strainer on the top right looks Ludwig the butt plate or strainer on the bottom left looks Ludwig or Gretsch...The lugs could be Ludwig or Slingerland.....Mikey

Thank you for your input. The way the lugs are ...are they off a snare? I haven't seen any photos of any drums which have these single-lugs like this - only the tubes. Do you know what sort of drum these might have come off of? A shallow snare? I've tried searching for pictures of older drums and haven't come up with anything.

Might be the lugs without the tubes that once were there?

Just speculating there.......

Kev, They could be missing the tube. The only way to tell is to look at the under side of the lug.If the lug is rounded then no missing tube also if the threads go all the way to the end of the lug.One other thing he could look at on the lug if the threaded hole is bigger at one end then the other tube is missing...Ludwig in the 20's-30's did make toms can't recall the name of them with single lugs that look like these.....Mikey
