Selling My Vintage Drums?

Hey guys I have a few sets I am thinking about selling. What is the vintage drum market like these days?

It has been 20+ years since I have been into vintage drums.

I have a late 60's Ludwig Burgundy 3pc., Sparkle, Psychedilc , Blue Oyster Down Beat with Matching Jazz Festival snare, Champaigne Sparkle Downbeat and a 70s Clear Vistalite 5pc set with snare.

Not sure if the value is there like it used to be. Thinking very hard about selling these, just wondering if the prices are down.

Thanks

There always seems to be complaints about the state of the vintage market. In fact I can't remember a time when that wasn't the case. They reflect on how bad it currently is and compare to some magical time in the past (that they most likely were complaining about at the time)!  The bottom line is that you won't know until you try to sell something. You're drums may be just the thing that someone is looking for. Or maybe nobody is looking for them. Hard to tell until you jump in.

Seems to me there is always demand for Downbeat sets, especially ones with Jazzfests.  Of course, there will always be those who will try to beat you up with a lowball offer.  If you're not in a hurry you can wait for a real offer.
