I'm looking to rent drums for the California Ballet Company performance of "The Great Gatsby" at the San Diego Civic Theater in October. I would love to rent a vintage kit from one of our members or get some recommendations for reputable rental stores in the area. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I'm not from California, but i would say check out Drum Doctors in L.A...He has a vast collection of vintage and modern drums, and he rents to local and famous drummers..

Hope that helps ;)

Hi Bill,

I don't have any Gatsby era drums ( if they're going to be on stage) but do have a classic Gretsch WMP RB 60's kit I could rent. I'm in San Diego and am a ballet supporter as well. Let me know if I can help.

I'm thinking a leedy black elete huge 28 in bd

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Yes...or Sonny Greer's Leedy kit with tympani, gongs, and chimes or how about Chick Webb's Gretsch roll away's with temple blocks and goose neck cymbal stands. Drum set pioneers with unique instruments.
