I'm interested in renting a drum set for one week in February (4 to 10) for the Sacramento Ballet's performance of "The Great Gatsby". The set needs to be somewhat period correct...."Gatsby" was early 20s, but any set with a 26" BD and vintage looking wrap would work. The live 20s style jazz orchestra plays a prominent role in the production. The ballet will pay the rental fee and has asked me to provide them with specs for the kit. I thought that reaching out to my fellow VDF members in the Sacramento area would be the safest way to line up the right equipment. Any rental help or suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I think Mikey777 lives north of Sacramento. He has some vintage stuff, don't know if he can swing it. PM him, he might be able,to help or put you in touch with someone who can.

I am in Sacramento , but only have as old as 1964 duco Leedy. But would actually love to see live music the next time I'm dragged to the ballet. The last one we saw was all recorded music. No point in going to a play or ballet unless there are some musicians in the pit!

I live in Stockton. The oldest thing I have is Rogers 1960's. Not exactly the era you are looking for, and nothing with a 26.

Thanks BBK,I would be able to help out. But all the drums i rent out to studio's and movie's are in orange county about 600 mile's to me.I don't know anyone up this way that would rent out a set,i know i have been asked about it from guy's up this way.I just don't have the time to move drum's back and fouth..But maybe this coming year i will move some set's up here.....Mikey
