Sabian Monarch 22" Ride

Tried one of these a couple of days ago in the store and was most impressed... any one else here that's bought one? .. has a nice vintage feel to it and best sounding in the tree IMO... (and well priced).

Hi Longjohn.... Yes have heard one of these too....

Just kidding.. talking to myself... But I do have to say.. I bought one of these today.. (supposedly only two in OZ ?).. If true? that means that I have trialled them both.. Having spent an afternoon with it I am convinced these are an amazing cymbal with a real vintage vibe.. Reminds me of an early 70's Zildjian Med ride I owned which mysteriously disappeared during a lug out.. a very versatile cymbal deep tone and beautiful bell & crashability.

Perfect blend with my oversize kit... recommend you give one a listen next time you are shopping around..

One of our members in the know here has stated that Sabian sounds more like Zildjian than Zildjian does nowadays....

I'm not much into modern cymbals, but I would probably buy one of these.
