I'll give a full report.. here they are. Will be a few weeks before i can pick the black set up
round badge vs usa custom COMING SOON Last viewed: 2 hours ago
Ooh this sounds good. I think the RB's win but it'll be interesting. Thanks.
The only thing is the comparsion is a little skewed due to the 2 kits are not the same sizes ?
Yes. 20 vs 18. But i will try to get the toms identical.
Looking forward to this although Steve Maxwell says he can tune a USA custom to sound exactly the same as a RB kit. Also exciting news from NAMM this year is the return of the 3 ply shell.

I'm sure that both kits can and will sound awesome.
It'll be a fun test. Cool1
I did this about a year ago with my '66 RB kit and my Brooklyn bop kit
Ambassadors all around on both kits and they sounded almost identical
only real noticeable difference was the 20" on the RB and the 18" on the Brooklyn
both kits sound amazing and I love them both dearly as I do all my Gretsch kits
looking forward to this comparison
Also exciting news from NAMM this year is the return of the 3 ply shell.
Yes! This photo made my heart skip a couple beats.
damn bro....you trying to kill me ?
I am surprised more people are not super excited about this.
