Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me get an estimate of what the value of my vintage Rogers bass drum is. It is pretty beat up, but everything is still together and nothing is broken. All of the parts are original. The paint is just chipping alot on the top. I attached some pictures so you can get an idea. It is the 24" size bass drum also. I just want to know what the value of it is in its current condition. I was also wondering if it would be worth more if I were to refinish it (never done that before) or to sell it all original as it is now. Thanks for any help.

Hi RF21 welcome to the forum! That color is Tobacco Sunburst. It would be very difficult to redo.
I am not the expert so I don't know what someone would pay for it in that condition. There are a few Rogers Guys around that will help out.

From what I have heard pro refinished painted drums retain their value, like the duco style finishes offered from the 40's onward.I have no idea how much a resto on that drum would cost, but I am thinking it would eat up a good portion of the drums worth. As it sits right now that drum would be a good drum for someone putting together a memriloc/xp-8 kit of orphans with a rewrap.I am thinking it is worth 150.00 to 200.00
