How can I identify a Rogers triple flanged hoop from the Dayton time period? I've read that tall boys were used on the early B&B kits, but when did they switch to "normal" hoops and how can I tell the difference between a "normal" Rogers triple flanged hoop and a Ludwig or any other brand? Thank you Slingerland for not adding to the confusion. Are they chrome over steel? Any other identifying characteristics?
I bought a 67-ish Rogers 16" floor tom that the seller thought for sure the bottom hoop is not Rogers and possibly the top as well. The bottom hoop is badly rusted and I'm going to replace it. I'd like to put an authentic Rogers hoop on it.
Thanks.
