I was looking at a Rogers set the other day. It had two 12" toms, a 16" floor tom and a 22" bass drum (all in pretty good condition). It was a natural wood stain. Apparently the wrap was taken off. The model number said 11515. The model name was blackened out with a sharpie and above it "Holiday" was typed out. Was this common? What year are these drums from? The person wanted $1,600. Is this reasonable?
Rogers Set
What you have is a Top Hat outfit (designated by the two 12" toms). My Rogers Londoner set has tags with crossed out model names, and "Holiday" written in. All three tags (my floor tom is tagless) have a different location at the bottom (Cleveland, Dayton, & Fullerton). These are indicative of leftover tags during the move from Dayton, OH to Fullerton, CA, I believe during 1968-69. My set is from 1969, possibly one of the last several outfits to ship out of Dayton.
By "model number said 11515," do you mean the serial number? If so, each drum should have a different number. However, keep in mind that because various tags were used during this period, these may not tell us much about the era. But I'd post photos of the tags if you can. Mine are attached below (20" bass, 13" tom, 12" tom).
1969 Rogers Holiday - black diamond pearl (20/16/13/12)
196x Star (Lyra/Majestic) - blue sparkle pearl (22/14/13) Restoration Project
1987 Pearl KC-3500 - jet black (22/16/13/12)
Not-so-vintage kits:
2007 Hart Dynamics Professional 6.4 e-kit / Roland TDW-20
Snares:
60s Gretsch 5x14 maple WMP / 68 Ludwig 5x14 Supraphonic / 93 Pearl 3x14 Free Floating brass piccolo / 60s Star (Lyra) 5x14 luan blue sparkle pearl / 87 Pearl 6.5x14 steel
$1600 is way out of line for a striped set. You can get an unmolested one for that price.
For a Rogers Holiday set that has the wrap stripped, and the shells left unwrapped, the value has been severely lessened. I would not pay more than half of the asking price for these drums no matter how good you think they look.Pictures would give us a better idea of what to tell you about pricing.
Whoa, I missed the $1600 bit. I agree with the assessments above. You could get a decent unmolested kit, possibly with a Rogers snare included, for that kind of cash.

Sold a Top Hat Blue Onyx set - unmodified shells - last year for $1200. Would have loved to get $1600. Unless you are in an area / foreign country where shipping from elsewhere can justify a pricey sale, PASS.
