Rogers R-360 Black Oyster Pearl Ft

Loading...

I've got a Rogers R-360 floor tom from what I believe to be the late '60s in black oyster pearl that I'm going to be moving soon. The wrap and the lugs are both in extremely nice condition (see pics). I've seen some 360s in the past but not too many with this particular wrap. I'm trying to determine whether there's actually a market for this model and, if so, what a ballpark estimate as to its current value might be. I'm also trying to find out what the "50 26" stamp on the interior shell designates. I'd prefer NOT to sell it on e-Bay if at all possible so if any members might have an interest in the drum please feel free to drop me a PM and I can provide additional details.

THANKS in advance for your time and your help!

If i'm not mistaken the R360-- R380 line's were low level drums MIJ or MIT.

I have a set of R380's and mine are dated from the mid 80's.

Mine have luan shells and stickers as a badge, they sound pretty good but i have found the HW to be cheap (espescially the lugs) The steel snare has some kinda funky thro (both side's flip up) and also has a tension knob. (parts for the thro/strainer/butt. are nowhere to be found.

Hope your's are better than mine.

Hey Gregg,

My understanding is that the "first line" of R360s came out in the late '60s and the "second line" came out in the '80s. Several people that I've spoken with claim that the quality of the '60s version was much higher than that of the '80s. I have absolutely no idea.

Hey OldSchool yes the 60's line of the Rogers 360's are the much better drums. These shells from the 60's were made by Yahama for Rogers. The Rogers 360 and 380 sets made in the 80's were M.I.T. and are junk drums..Also OldSchool if i recall right the B.O.P. floor tom you have Rogers used the same wrap on Rogers top of the line drums. This is what i was told years ago.I have not seen many of these sets in your color i can only recall one complete set over the years.I wouls say your drum should sell from 100.00 to 150.00 to the right person....Mikey
