Roger's Holiday five piece with matching snare. Great price, but did I screw up!! Last viewed: 3 hours ago

To me, depends on what you want to do with it - play it or sell it? If you're going to sell, you might have some trouble making any money. If you're going to play it, then the next question is, does it sound good? If you dig the sound and it inspires you, then it's money will spent, maybe slightly over-spent, depending on who you talk to.

looks ok to me. I had a later model kit with swivo mounts that had the same mod. Here's how i fixed it. The extra holes in the tom were covered by the swivo plate. It's a player kit but a fair price I reckon.

I was able to cancel the order before it was shipped. I was going to keep it to play, but I tend to sell kits after a couple of years so re-sale is also important. I want to thank everyone for their honest feedback (even the sarcasm). Ideally I am looking for an American made kit with a 24" bass drum but those seem to be hard to find unless I want to buy white cortex, black cortex or some other ugly one colored wrap. I need to stay focused on that search but I keep getting sidetracked with other kits. Thanks again guys (and gals).

From OddBall

I can`t see under the Dyno but that throw don`t appear complete below the ajustment screw.

The frame is there, but the strings are placed all wrong. (How could anyone think that's correct? ;) )

Also, the snare gate is on upside-down.

Well the snare is an easy $350 then the Flr is another $300....

As for the rest....I would remove the bass drum, tom mount...& Plate it over...!

Install rim mounts on both rack toms ...put to a std and play....

*see if the female mounts installed on the toms are using the old holes from the Rogers mounts...? If so, reinstall the originals..?

Is it worth $600..? Yes I believe so....

If you already have a decent go to snare....?

Sell the dyna right away to recoup 65% of yr investment...

Play the kit for a cpl years...& you'll be able to sell it at the $400 range "All Day Long".

Looks like the kit at Guitar centre...?

Here's something local in Nashville. American & 24" BD. Pretty decent price I think. Been listed for a month, so may not be available any longer.

Dan,

Yah, that's an odd way to run the snare strings, but the snare gate is not upside-down... open end of gate is properly facing downward.

I agree with your math. The Dyna and the FT are just about worth the whole price paid.
