also the speckled interior gives it away but the floor tom mounts and legs are the biggest sign and it looks to be a 3 leg a swivo would be four legged..

Not entirely correct Mike. Two years ago, I picked up a 9/72 series 20" floor tom with only 3 factory installed swivo hex legs. My badge is similar to this seller's badge (9/72 Fullerton series, and serial number without the A or B prefix or underlined). That dates both FT's as the last of the 9/72 series (1975). I find it confusing that earlier swivo 20" FT's had four legs. So the question is... when did Rogers reduce the number of legs to 3? Anyone?

The speckled interior should give it away, but I have seen legitimate speckled interior with Dayton and even Cleveland tags. The tags on the drums in question along with the hardware made it obvious to most fans of Rogers drums that these are 70's shells.

As previously mentioned, I would be surprised if the seller has two identical 18"s and 20" floor toms. I guess he's fishing by trying to sell it as a set and at the same time separately. At those prices , he'll be sitting on them for some time to come.

The tom mounts on the kit have been change to memriloc also. The original swivo mount is still present on the bass drum.

Dayton tags came in in 1966. The speckled paint started in 67 or so. Any Cleveland tag on a speckled drum is the result of using leftover tags to get a drum completed, and they are usually cross-outs with a different model name written in.

Just a side note,

There is a Rogers kit, just like the floor tom mentioned in this post, for sale in the Cincinnati Craigslist ads. 24 bass, 13 & 14 mounted toms, 18 and 20 floor toms, all black finish.

The seller wants $2500 for everything. Way too rich for my blood.

But, anyway thought I would mention it. I didn't read all the posts, so hopefully no one else has already mentioned it. I just saw the tom, and recognized it!
