Rogers drum mounts Last viewed: 28 minutes ago

I have a 60s era Rogers kit with swivomatic hardware. Does anyone know of a way to keep the tom on the post arm without replacing the entire collet? Mine are worn and don't hold the tom in place anymore.Falling Do

Not sure I really understand the questions, but if the tom collet does not tighten enough to keep the tom in place, it might be the tom arm is the problem, not the collet. See if the tom arm will tighten on another collet on the set for comparison.

My kit has 12" and 13" toms. Both drums will slide off the tom arms while playing after just a few minutes. I've tried both toms with another Rogers kit and they wouldn't stay in place on those mounts either. The drums will hold any tilted position but slide off the end of the arms.

do you have cast or machined collets (that is the part that screws on) if they are cast from Fullerton drums ,they are most likely cracked in multiple places and you need to replace them with machined ones, also your mounts (the part attached to the drums take them off clean the threads with alcohol get a thread die and run it over the threads to clean them up. then take a Q tip and place just a small amount of Vaseline on the threads so that when you put the new collets on it will lube the now clean and lubes threads ,your tom arms are fine.. hope this helps
