Eels just released a Royal Albert Hall concert film and live album, which by the way is outstanding. But the drum kit nestled among a range of percussion instruments caught my eye. This little Rogers kit really cuts through. http://tinyurl.com/q9vrtxk

Is that a Acrolite mixed in with Rogers?
Funny. That drummer looks like the spitting image of my father back in the 1960s. He wasn't a drummer, though...
Sorry for being completely OTT.

Soft rock kind of bugs me, and the fact they are acknowledging the fact they are soft rock!
And using a Rogers bop kit for soft rock too, well, that's actually pretty genius :D

Not a fan of England Dan & John Ford Coley? Firefall? Seals & Crofts? Air Supply? I love em all. :)
This guys been using vintage stuff on and off for years.
A lot of 90s drummers did. The drummer from weezer, The drummer from marcy's playground, lots of emo drummers such as the get up kids, mineral and jawbreaker also used vintage drums. There's a bunch more i can't think of off the top of my head.

Love the very rare BOP Rogers set . Cannot stand that band though .
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

You may not know the Eels, but you've probably heard of Steve Perry, formerly of Journey? Google: Eels/Steve Perry to see Steve's first public performance last year after a long absence. Drums sound good!
