Rogers Big R XP-8 Tobacco Sunburst Super Londoner

Checked out a new consignment store up the street from me over the weekend and saw these guys sitting there for $250.00! Sizes 13, 14, 18, and 24!!! I had the 6.5 Dyna in my hand as well but since they put it on Ebay and it received a bid they could not sell it to me. Drag to because in store they only wanted $120.00 for it. Kit is in great shape with all the original Rogers white dot heads on it. 1 small chip on the kick and a couple big scrapes on the floor tom but overall really great shape for this type of finish. Should clean up super easy.

to say you did well would be to grossly understate the obvious.

Fantastic.

If you are into keeping these, there is a matching sunburst 16 FT on ebay. Not mine.

Pay attention to the shades of red blending into the amber... you might get a good match.

Gosh....... excellent kit. Value.... 1200 easy.

Nice kit!

Did you buy the 16FT?

I'm looking for one as well and I can't seem to find the one Ploughman referenced on ebay.

Thanks 73 Rogers! I actually think the 16 on Ebay was listed wrong and was the 18 I purchased with this kit. The consignment shop I bought it from was trying to sell each drum separate and had them on Ebay, Craigslist and in store. That is why I could not buy the Dyna because someone had already bid on it on Ebay. The floor tom luckily had no bids so I could purchase at the store with the rest of the kit. The store had a problem getting Ebay to take down the sale and that floor tom actually had 3 bids on it by the next day. My guess is that they just finally got Ebay to end the sale. I was super lucky to keep the whole kit together. Bummed I didn't get there about an hour earlier I would have snagged that 6.5 Dyna for 120.00. Was still really excited with the deal though.

I love that set! Maybe I'll grab one someday when I get the room. Most that I see are in poor condition, not like yours!

Congrats!!!!!

Ahh..that would explain it.

The TSB kits are few and far between which makes this even more of a score for you. That 18 FT is thunderous. Enjoy!

Man...such a deal! The lacquered finished XP-8s are hard to find in as good a shape as those look. Major score in deed.

Bobby Chiasson at the drum farm. I think he has one.

Still ... awesome deal. Last really good set I looked at... personally.. was 1200. And I considered that a good deal.
