Very happy with the trade, thanks Mark!
I'm sure we'll meet again for future drum trades and whatnot. :)

Were these Dynasonics intended for orchestral use, or to back up the ever larger drum sets that were being used in Stadiums settings during that period?
It was the era of the big drum. Square tom sizes, the advent of the deeper bass drum, huge sets. And of course, bigger snare drums. This snare was offered in three depths, 5, 6.5, and 8. Of the three, the eight inch is most common. Deep snare drums are again popular and the eight incher is holding a very high value. I have seen several go for over 500, and a few above 600 in the last few years. The five inch version is the most rare, with only a very few, possibly as few as a couple dozen having been built between 1981 and 1984. The 6.5 version is ........ awesome. Quite a few were built, but even so, there just aren't that many of these drums around. Four of my drums are eight inchers, five of them are 6.5, and I have ONE 5x14 SuperTen that took me a long time to find.
hey guys
i would to know how kind of snare I bought yesterday ( shell , old ..etc ).... THANK
