Hey Guys,

I am wondering if Rogers made a Big R 20" bass drum? If so, do you happen to have any pictures or links to info? I have done a little searching but have not been able to find one so maybe they were not made.

The 79 catalog in the VDG lists a 20" BD as part # 53-0120. I don't think they are very common.

The were made. Not a lot of them were made. You can find a hundred 24" BDs for every 20. In the Big R era. Recently viewed pics of a twin 20 from the early Big R period.

Were 20" bass drums made in the XP-8 shells?

Here's a catalog set with a 20". Not sure on the XP-8's but even then that was still a standard size and it would have been weird not to offer it...although if nobody ordered any then they could be plenty rare...available or not.
