Rogers Big "R" Dynasonic, no serial Last viewed: 2 minutes ago

OK, here it is, all cleaned up with correct stand.

Offers via PM please.

What, you thought I would keep it? I hate to say this, but I honestly think my COS sounds just a tad better. Now, that is to my ears, I am not saying it doesn't sound good, I am just partial to the sound of my COS Star. Please, remember, we all have that wonderful hearing thing that makes us different.

More pix upon request, although it will have to wait until morning.

Wayne, are you surprised to hear this?

Hey Jonnistix!! I would think that you would get the frame and snares for it and THEN compare and decide. There are no snare beds on Dynas that I am aware of because of the free floating snare system. So the setup now doesn't do it justice.Plus you can get the proper amount for it if it is complete and in the condition its in. And I have used Remo Ambasadors top and bottom. Right now I use a Modern Vintage Medium on top because i was using brushes a lot a bit back. I like the way it sounds now with this head.

Cheers,Ed

Hi jonnistix! Beautiful Big R! I know what you mean about some of those COS drums. I've got a SuperTen that is fantastic! Keep up the good work!

I checked that Ed, there are beds. I was thinking the same thing, why crimp for beds, or whatever the correct terminology is, if there is going to be a bridge, but it is there. I suspect by this time Rogers knew how many bridges were being removed by impatient drummers that did not want to take the time to learn how to tune these and simply built in the snare beds so at least they would playable. I mean let's face it, far too many guys and gals would rather do the easy thing than the right thing. No more or less than any other metal snare. As for picking up a bridge and further investing...nah. For the money, I will just move this one. Someone will want it, so it is going in the For Sale threads. Nice, clean and crisp. I like the sound, just don't need another metal snare right now, and since this is a wonderful drum, it needs to be played. Nothing at all wrong with it, other than the missing bridge, so it will be a good deal for someone else to complete.
