Please, guys, I have recently purchased a 1920's, 13-inch  Slingerland marching snare that I really appreciate and want to use her for gigs! She is beautiful! The only trouble is I can't seem to get rid of some ringing which drives me crazy! I know about tuning reso heads and other means to eliminate the overtones, but still it is there. I use Moon Gel which works, but it looks horrible on such a beautiful drum. The batter is an Evans Genera Dry. Thanks in advance, friends!   Brian
