Recently Bonnie was on Austin city limits with Mavis staples and I think the drummer was Ricky Fataar and he had this great sounding ride that he would crash on as well as ride I think it was a Zildjian K but would love to know what exactly it is.

I LOVE Ricky's playing! He did some great work with Ian Mclagan's Bump band and The Crowded House.

Can anyone tell me what drums he was playin in the early 70s? I think Gretsch.
When Ricky moved to Sydney, a lot of us drummers were saying "what is so good about this guy" Saw him play and that night, he gave me a lesson I did not forget. Got to know him too. In some way, I am now in the zone he showed me all those years ago. Play the song, not the drums - still learning that.
