Retro Spurs Last viewed: 4 minutes ago

Does anybody know of retro fit spurs for my 63 Ludwig Classics. I hate the gull wing style that are on it but I hate to alter the bass drum.

A question for you all. The bass drum has already been altered. The original owner removed the tom rail and drilled the bass drum for a tube style tom holder. Do you think that since it has already been altered it would make much of a difference if I mounted modern spurs? Thank you. John

No it would not it's a players kit make it your way, once drilled it's done, the repairs would show even if you did try to bring it back although I'veberm getting real good at doing a match repair here lately

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I would leave it as is. Every additional modification you do makes it a less desirable kit if you decide to sell it. It's a cool looking kit right now!
