Hey Grandma...

Your first Ludwig kit deserves a classic Ludwig snare drum! Enjoy it for many years to come, robyn! I tuned it for you so that you could set it up and start playing it right out of the box. Acro's are just great snares, period. You can rattle the walls in the shed with the new kit!

Enjoy!

John

> That John is a nice fella.

Glenn - Last month I bought a Vistalite kit. I unexpectedly received the Acro I gifted to Robyn along with the kit. I have 17 (count em') snare drums. That's not counting the kits. I already have a minty 60's Keystone Acro that I got from Mike Layton awhile back.

I'm not gigging... I don't "need" two Acrolites. Or another snare drum for that matter. Robyn recently scored that 60's Luddy kit and she was nosing around for a snare drum. I know she was on a tight budget and in a real sense I got the snare drum for free. As I mentioned, I really wasn't expecting it. Giving it to robyn was a 'natural.' My bills are paid, my fridge is full and the $ I could have gotten by selling the drum can not buy me the good feeling I got from giving it to grandma! Robyn's reaction to getting the drum all by itself makes it worth it. I couldn't buy the good feeling I got for all the $ in the world. Do you see the smile on grandma's face in the photo up above?

I did that!

I'm not crazy. The whole thing made perfect logical sense to me. Robyn is happy, I'm happy, the drum has a good home so it's happy, it's all good.
