Radio King? Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

I've got a Slingerland 12" x 24" Black Diamond Pearl bass drum that I might be moving in the future to help fund another project. I'm trying to determine if it would "officially" be considered a Radio King. The badge that was originally on the drum was apparently removed by a prior owner. You can't see the hole where the badge was originally installed from the outside of the drum because it's covered by an L-arm mount. However, you can see it from the interior of the shell. The drum has "cigar" lugs and all the t-rods have the stamped "S" on them but two. The wrap is in fantastic condition. I'm simply trying to confirm model and approximate age. THANKS in advance for your time and your help!

Nice drum. 1930's. I'm not sure there are RK and non RK bass drums.

Nothing special here but I like them.

I agree. I don't see a cloud badge, but the lugs are good as is the hardware.

Gotta ask,

What is the story on the beach scene reso? Need something along that design theme.

You may want to take the mount off. Don't know if the badge was attached well enough to leave a mark in the wrap. Pictures from various angles worth a try.

If I remember correctly (which is ALWAYS questionable), I think I picked that one up in the middle of an ugly Michigan winter, just to look at and keep repeating "one day closer to spring" (lol). If I do sell the drum, I'll probably sell it with a regular head on it. Since I don't have any other 24" bass drums perhaps we could look into a transaction, assuming that you might have an interest in it.

Old School

If you decide to sell the bass drum, I might be interested. Thanks!
