Radio King Help needed again

Loading...

For those who remember I was looking into getting an old single ply radio king snare for my father's 50th birthday. I was given a lot of good advice but was told to hold off of a 50s Krupa clamshell model. I haggled the guy down to 650 but is still too much and doesn't have the original throw.

I still held off and now I see other models with the 3 point strainer on ebay. Can someone point me back in the right direction?

Thanks very much

John

The 3 point strainer is far the more reliable than the clamshell strainer.

That's what I heard but at the same time there's 2 drums available on ebay with that. One had a very bizzare looking finish, the other is rebuilt with a natural wood finish and I don't think they made one like that.
