I've seen this kit on eBay before. It had the same repair/refurbish letter from Slingerland in the listing. It's been some months ago, but I know I've seen it before. Something about this smells fishy to me. I'm very leery of the "email me before you bid" deal too. I bet his email reply will be along the lines of, "I only accept money orders" or something like that.

Hey, Kevin!

I tend to stay away from any and all sales requiring "bid approval". If I need an unknown third party's approval in regard to how I spend my money something seems very wrong to me. Then again, I'd probably fall into that "unauthorized buyers" category for this one anyway (lol).

That auction is a scam someone should report it. There's another seller who seems legit that's had this for sale for $6500 BIN for some time. Shame it's been redone but is what it is.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Oh wow! It has a real piece of paper?! With ink? No way! Laughing H

And btw in 1997 the Slingerland drum company was more like the Gibson drum company.
