"P" Stamp inside of Shell

Loading...

Hello everyone.

I am working on a deal with a vintage Slingerland kit. I noticed a "P" ink stamp on the inside of the toms. Any ideas on what this means? Cheers!

Thank You,

That 'P' on the inside is a personal stamp I had made up as a protection against theft. I've been looking for this for quite a bit. The police will be interested to finally have a lead. Thank you so much for coming clean.

ok...

maybe not...

That 'P' stands for Pearl ... as in, a wrap ... as opposed to lacquer or paint. Cool deal. Let us see a pic of the new booms.

Picked up the drums. Hope to have pics soon. They need some serious cleaning and I just had wisdom teeth removed....so my enthusiasm for my "new" project is low.

Slingerland Blue Agate 18xxx-20xxx.

Were the original hoops COB or steel?

Thanks vintagemore2000.

I will do a magnet test.

Does anyone know of a good replacement paint for the milky beige interior paint Slingerland used?

Thank You,
