question bout nylon replacement tips Last viewed: 4 minutes ago

can any body tell me about these? the reason for asking is....it was suggusted to me to evenly whitle down the tips on the sticks purdie gave me and then glue on some replacement tips. what do ya think? think it will work? if it would work then i might be able to get many more beats in with the sticks i like so well.

I've never heard of this (or tried it) but I imagine it could work.

If you do it, I'd suggest using a lathe to turn the wood evenly to fit the tip well before epoxying it on so the tip sits straight and true.

West System epoxy is my favorite but any SLOW DRYING two part epoxy will probably work.

Remember you will have more time and money invested than a new pair will cost, so proceed with caution!
