Top and bottom. A starting point.

Can you tell me again? Does Gatzen state the same thing in his video?

Bob used an "A" on the snare head and a C to C# on his batter head. Hope that helps.

Sorry man, missed this one... yes, I use the same method Bob teaches in his video. Each snare is a little different so even if you use the 'basic method' presented by Bob, you'll want to tweak each drum individually to get the best sound out of it. Bob's system is a great place to start and it'll give you a great sounding snare drum if you follow it.
