Price Check Last viewed: 8 hours ago

I just picked up this 6.5x14 b/o badge Ludwig Supraphonic. It has the pointy badges and is all original, however, there is some pitting. I may be trying to sell it, what do you guys think would be a fair price? I've seen them all over the place on ebay. Oh and it even has a coated emperor, Party thanks.

Mike Layton was looking for one of those. Why not send him a mail, he may still be after one.

It's a very nice snare. The sound alone is worth paying for, whatever about the pitting to the chrome. Obviously condition will effect value, but many players will buy these just to have that sound. Check eBay sold listings to get an average price. They usually go for between 250 and 400 US $. Something like that.

Maybe the Super Sensitive ones fetch a bit more

That was the choice of quite a few working drummers over the years. Pretty realiable and has both sensitivity and decent power when needed. I would tend to agree on the $300 range. Problem is they are not in short supply, and Ludwig did have a major issue with the chrome pitting in that era. Of course, you can't hear the pits.

I would think, for what you'll get out of it, you'd be better retaining it in your arsenal.
